Geiger (asi/202900) has purchased Middletown, NJ-based Omega Promotional Products Co. (asi/287650). Terms of the deal were not revealed. The move is part of Geiger's ongoing efforts to expand its territory through acquisitions, in this case Central New Jersey.

"This is really an expansion into a territory that we didn't have a strong presence in prior," says Janet McMaster, Mid-Atlantic division sales manager.

"Omega's reputation in the industry is such a positive one, and their way of doing business mirrors Geiger's so well, the transition and merger will be smooth. We are looking to not just maintain the existing client base but to grow it as well."

Omega, which was founded in 1983, will remain in the same location and keep all its employees, including the former President Brian Rechten, who has been named a sales partner.
